1 Dead in Thornton Road Accident, Exit off of I-20 is Closed

Fox 5 Atlanta is reporting that a fatality occurred during an accident involving a tractor-trailer and several other vehicles at the intersection of Thornton Road near South Blairs Bridge Road at around 10:30 a.m., Wednesday.

A Georgia State Patrol trooper tells FOX 5 that the tractor-truck hit a passenger vehicle, and that vehicle struck other cars.

Thornton Road exit off of I-20 is closed while investigators remain on the scene but should be reopen by 4:00 p.m.
