Arrest Made in Homicide on Astor Ave. and Sylvan Rd.

An arrest has been made in the case.

An arrest has been made in the murder of a young man who was shot twice at Astor Ave, and Sylvan Rd. in Southwest Atlanta.

The Atlanta Police released this update on the arrest made:

Update: On June 19, 2012 Investigators were able to ascertain probable cause to secure three Fulton County Arrest Warrants; Murder, Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault for the arrest of Horace Manson (B/M, DOB 06/04/1988).Β  On June 20, 2012, Atlanta Fugitive Unit apprehended Manson and transported him to Public Safety Headquarters.Β  Horace Mason was served with the outstanding arrest warrants and transported to Fulton County Jail without incident.

The following is the police report as we reported days ago:

On June 18th, 2012, Atlanta Police Zone Three Morning Watch Mobile Patrol responded to the intersection of Sylvan Road and Astor Avenue in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, Officers discovered the victim; Darterius Adams non-responsive at which time victim was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. Victim had received a gunshot wound to the right side of his back and right leg.

Family Members stated they heard several gunshots and upon looking out onto the street, they observed the victim at the intersection lying on the sidewalk unconscious.

On June 19th, 2012, at 12:06 a. m., victim was pronounced deceased by Grady Memorial Hospital due to the fatal gunshot wounds he sustained. Atlanta Police Homicide and Crime Scene Unit responded to the location.Β Β
