Business Profile: The Tavern @ J.R. Crickets and owner Mr. Cotton

Mr. Cotton takes time to share his views on how to be successful in the restaurant business.

Mr. Cotton started working in the J.R. Cricket business in 1995 and has never looked back.Β  Sitting in his office inside the Camp Creek location of Mr. C schooled me about the drive and determination that an entrepreneur must have to make it in the restaurant and bar business.

Mr. Cotton admits to having ups and downs along the way these past 20 years, but overall he says he has succeeded.Β  Cotton is careful not to scare any budding young businessmen away from their dreams, but he is stern in his warning that you must have a passion and not think its all about the money. "you won't make it, like that," he says.

at the Camp Creek Marketplace is a newly renovated establishment that has multiple bars, 2 VIP rooms, a lounge connected and over 6 big screen projectors for sporting events.

In addition to its name recognition, free parking, and free entrance, The Tavern also delivers and does catering.

If you are a determined entrepreneur and are ready to spend long hours managing and refining your business, then starting a bar or restaurant may just be for you.Β  No doubt, Southwest Atlanta needs more sit-down restaurants and I am pretty sure there is a market for a few good bars.
