Officer Holds Scared Toddler, Melts Hearts

Rookie Officer James Hurst was standing by the hospital bed when a small, scared child started crying. The photo of what he did next is getting attention beyond his Savannah community.

Drawing from his experience as a father and training in community-oriented policing, Hurst picked up the child and eventually sat down on the bed to cradle him. 48-Year Georgia Prison Escapee Fighting To Stay Free
