TUCKER, GA — A $260 million expansion to the Pepsi manufacturing facility in Tucker will boost the full-time jobs there to more than 600, state officials announced Thursday.

PepsiCo Beverages North America, a division of PepsiCo, will grow the facility bringing 136 additional jobs to the DeKalb County area, Gov. Brian Kemp said.

“We are excited that another division of PepsiCo has chosen Georgia to grow their operations,” Kemp said. “We applaud the leadership and economic development team with the City of Tucker and send our great thanks to them and to our partners in DeKalb County and at the Technical College System of Georgia for their continued efforts to create jobs and opportunities for hardworking Georgians.”

This is the second expansion of jobs by a PepsiCo division in Georgia in as many years. The company’s Frito Lay division announced an investment of more than $200 million in its Perry facility in July 2020, adding 240 jobs there.

“This expansion will greatly increase PBNA’s production serving nearby Atlanta and the wider Georgia region to continue the growth of our business and customers in the area,” said Karen Jordan, Chief Supply Chain Officer, PBNA. “We are proud to increase our footprint locally as a supplier, producer, and employer, bringing with us our gender equity and sustainability mission to create positive change.”

The expansion will add more than 260,000 square feet to the 1644 Rock Mountain Boulevard facility, increasing production five-fold by 2025 and making it one of the largest manufacturing facilities owned by PBNA, company officials said.
