'I Have 9 Lives' Says DeKalb Woman After Escaping When Tree Traps Her In Home

A DeKalb County woman survived after a massive tree crashed into her roof and trapped her inside, according to reports.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A giant tree limb fell into a DeKalb County home and trapped a woman inside of her bedroom, according to multiple reports.

Leisa Stafford told WSB-TV that right as she was falling asleep around 1:15 a.m. Thursday in her Mesa Drive home she heard a loud boom. That’s when she looked out and saw the tree. She couldn’t get out the window either because the tree was protruding on the other side of the house, Stafford told WSB.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Stafford initially thought it was an intruder, so grabbed her gun.
