Kendall Rae Johnson started a monthly gardening club to spread awareness about farming.

ACROSS GEORGIA — Georgia’s youngest certified farmer is 6-year-old Kendall Rae Johnson, according to "Good Morning America." The young farmer has joined farming organizations such as Georgia Grown, a division of Georgia's Department of Agriculture, and the Georgia Farm Bureau, ABC News reported.

Kendall is on a mission to spread awareness about farming with her peers and has even started a monthly gardening club.

Her hometown of South Fulton declared Sept. 28 "Kendall Rae Appreciation Day" for her work in her garden. She planted her first seeds at 4 years old.

"The most fun thing about being a farmer is just being yourself," Kendall told 11 Alive.
