Man Dies After Being Trapped In House Fire In Decatur
DeKalb County firefighters responded to a house fire early Wednesday in Decatur. One person was killed, authorities said.

DECATUR, GA -- A man trapped in a house fire in Decatur was killed early Wednesday, DeKalb County fire officials said. The blaze occurred in the 2300 block of Appomatox Drive in the Panthersville area, authorities said.
Fire units responded to the scene and found a "confirmed entrapment," DeKalb Fire and Rescue said in a statement around 7 a.m. (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. Or, if you have an iPhone, download the free Patch app.)
In an update, the DeKalb Fire and Rescue said that the "confirmed entrapment will be deceased," meaning that the trapped person died. Authorities have not released the victim's name or anything else about the situation.
