Mind the Heart Project Hits Decatur This Weekend
Artists will be handing out hearts at the Square Saturday so Decatur residents can write notes on them for the Mind the Heart Project.

DECATUR, GA -- A community project involving the hearts and minds of Decatur residents is set to take place this weekend. The Mind the Heart Project is inviting you to share your favorite and beloved spots around Decatur.
On Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m., artists Maya & Roie will be handing out 100 hearts to residents at Decatur Square. (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. Or, if you have an iPhone, download the free Patch app.)
Participants will be able to jot down their top spots and stories, which will become an exhibition at the Decatur Arts Alliance, opening Friday, Oct 6.

The project will archive thousands of spots of significance by people of all walks of life, showing that "everywhere means something to someone at some point, so walk around with open eyes and an open heart,” according to a city Of Decatur news release.
