Tiny Injured Owl Rescued By Decatur Police: 'We Aren’t Sure Who Was Scared Of Who'
A tiny injured owl was found alongside Scott Boulevard in Decatur. "We aren't sure 'who' was scared of who," police said.
DECATUR — Decatur police protect and serve the community, and that includes its non-human members, too. Over the weekend, a tiny owl was found injured near Scott Boulevard, according to the City of Decatur Police Facebook page.
A few officers stepped in to save the day.
“There are no classes taught in the police academy on dealing with owls,” reads the post, but Officer Blue helped the owl who had an injured wing.

The owl was rescued and is with a local wildlife rehabilitation group until the wing heals, according to police.
“We aren’t sure ‘who’ was scared of who here but it sure turned out great,” they posted on Facebook.
