- The Douglas County Sheriffs Office is searching for missing 15-year-old Rayonna Jemison, who was last seen on Nov. 6 leaving her home near the Andy Mountain Road and Highway 78 area. - The Douglas County Fire and EMS Department were sent to a house fire at the 9300 block of Opal Drive in Douglasville on Nov. 7. Firefighters in Douglas County are praising an 8-year-old who alerted his family of the fire, allowing the family of four and their pet to escape the house uninjured. Douglas County Fire and EMS Department will install free residential smoke detectors for all Douglas County residents. Call fire department headquarters at 770-942-8626 for more information. - On Saturday, Nov. 19, a free drive-thru Community Turkey Giveaway will be held at the Douglas County Courthouse.
