2 Arrested For Bomb Threat At Douglasville Food Depot

​Two Douglasville residents are in jail on armed robbery charges after police say they used a bomb threat Tuesday to rob the Food Depot.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA – Two Douglasville residents are in jail on armed robbery charges after police say they used a bomb threat Tuesday to rob the Food Depot at 3697 Hwy. 5, in Douglasville.

Anthony Lerone Jackson and Yolanda Renea Smith, both 48, were arrested and are being held in the Douglas County Jail without bond.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery call at the Food Depot, where deputies and investigators were told that a man entered the store, produced a device stating it was a bomb and robbed one of the cashiers of the money from the cash drawer and left the store. It was later learned the man left in a dark colored car that was parked in the store parking lot and fled the scene.

During the investigation, Anthony Lerone Jackson, was identified as the man in the store, according to police. Police say Yolanda Renea Smith was with Jackson during the robbery.

Warrants were taken for Anthony Jackson and Yolanda Smith and July 11.
