Arbor Place Mall To Close Indefinitely Due To Coronavirus
Arbor Place Mall in Douglasville will close Friday evening until further notice to help stem the spread of the new coronavirus.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Arbor Place Mall will close for business this evening until further notice to help battle the coronavirus outbreak. The mall is scheduled to close at 7 p.m. Friday, according to Arbor Place’s website.
The decision to close by mall owner CBL Properties comes after a shelter-in-place order issued Thursday by the Douglasville City Council. Anchor stores Macy’s and Belk already had closed. Dillard’s — which has an outside opening — will stay open to fulfill online orders. The Douglas County Sentinel reports that some restaurants also will stay open for takeout and delivery orders.
Douglasville’s coronavirus shelter-in-place order limits gatherings to 10 or fewer people and mandates social distancing of at least 6 feet.
