Commissioner To Host Open Forum Tonight On Bus Route System
The purpose of the forum is to explain the developing aspects of the proposed bus system and routes to the public.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — District 4 Commissioner Ann Jones Guider has called for an open forum on Tuesday, July 31, at 6 p.m. in Citizens Hall of the Douglas County Courthouse at 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, Ga. 30134 for all Douglas County citizens to attend.
The purpose of the forum is to explain the developing aspects of the proposed bus system and routes to the public. Maps and handouts of each route will be available for viewing. The forum will be recorded and distributed online via dctv23. The forum will not be televised live. Each commissioner has also been invited to attend.
During the forum, questions about the proposed bus system and routes will be submitted in written form by the audience, and each response will be limited to two minutes. There will be an attempt to answer as many questions as time allows; however, the meeting is scheduled to end at 8 p.m.

The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to vote to approve or decline the award for a fixed-route public bus service and grant application in the amount of $4.8 million with a Douglas County match of $1.2 million for three years on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. during the regular scheduled legislative meeting in Citizens Hall of the Douglas County Courthouse.
