Douglas Co. Sex Offender Groomed Minor On Snapchat, Authorities Say
Authorities say a Douglas County man was sexually explicit with a girl younger than 18 on Snapchat.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A 23-year-old man and registered sex offender was arrested after being accused of being sexually explicit with a minor and grooming her on Snapchat.
The arrest of Stephen Donehoo came during Operation Watchful Eye, an annual statewide effort to ensure registered sex offenders are staying compliant, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.
The operation took place on Sept. 22. Donehoo was on probation for sexual exploitation of children when he was accused of being sexually explicit online with a girl younger than age 18, authorities said.

During the investigation, the girl was located in a county southeast of Atlanta, authorities said. She confirmed she was the person in the Snapchat communications and said Donehoo sent her money, authorities said.

Donehoo on Tuesday was arrested on charges of eight counts of sexual exploitation of children, seven counts of child molestation and one count of grooming of a minor for a sexual offense, authorities said. Douglas County Jail records on Wednesday showed Donehoo was being held without bond.
