Douglas County To Host Federal, State Legislative Forum
The purpose of the event is to provide the Douglas County Citizens with updates on issues regarding federal and state legislation.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA – Douglas County will be hosting The 2018 Federal and State Legislative Update on Aug. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Douglasville Conference Center located at 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, GA 30134. The purpose of the event is to provide the Douglas County Citizens with updates on issues regarding federal and state legislation.
“Douglas County is committed to maintaining strong relationships with our federal and state legislative
delegations and to keeping our citizens informed on what is happening at the state and federal levels,” stated
Tiffany Stewart-Stanley, Douglas County Director of External Affairs. “All members of the Douglas County Federal and State Legislative Delegations were invited to participate and we look forward to hosting all the legislators that will be attending.”
The forum is open to all members of the public and is an opportunity for citizens to meet and engage with
members of their federal and state legislative delegation. Some of the issues that are expected to be discussed
include Georgia’s new hands-free law and the new legislation establishing the regional transit framework.

“Hosting the 2018 Federal and State Legislative Update is a great opportunity for our federal and state legislators to provide information to our citizens and is aligned with my strategic priority of effective and inclusive public engagement,” said Douglas County Chairman Dr. Romona Jackson Jones.
