Douglasville Chick-fil-A On Highway 5 Now Reopen
Chick-fil-A's newest innovations have been incorporated into the restaurant's updated design.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA -- More than 30 years after it first opened its doors and nearly nine months after it was closed for a complete rebuild, the Douglasville Chick-fil-A restaurant at 3202 Highway 5 reopened with the chain’s newest design Thursday.
The reopening of the restaurant comes as franchise owner Mike Moore celebrates nearly 34 years with Chick-fil-A. He and his team look forward to welcoming their returning guests to the restaurant which features a vintage heritage interior design and the chain’s latest kitchen, dining room and drive-thru innovations. Guests will appreciate the larger tables in a dining room featuring premium finishes including subway tile and large windows, as well as a large gathering table made from reclaimed wood and a custom light fixture made from recycled Coca-Cola bottles.
Other highlights include an updated, two-story interactive indoor play area for children and free Wi-Fi.Customers on the go will find a drive-thru system featuring expanded face-to-face ordering and an additional lane, enhancing the chain’s award-winning drive-thru service. The expanded features of the new restaurant will provide an even more remarkable experience with the return of 50 Team Members and an additional 65 hired to reach his goal of 115.

Operator of the Chick-fil-A at Douglasville for the past 30 years, Moore has also operated the drive-thru-only Fairburn Road restaurant since 1995. At both locations, he has worked alongside hundreds of dedicated Team Members while striving to provide a remarkable experience to hundreds of thousands of guests. This effort has also included being committed to serving the community outside the restaurant. Moore and his wife, Judy, raised their two sons and planted deep roots into the Douglasville community which they have called home for more than three decades.
In addition to reopening the Douglasville location, Chick-fil-A is reinvesting in several existing metro-Atlanta restaurants including Johns Creek and Peachtree Corners slated to reopen in the coming weeks, following the chain’s location inside Atlanta’s Colony Square which reopened earlier this month.
