- There are approximately 56 active service members and veterans employed by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office who serve and protect the citizens of Douglas County. - The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is looking for vendors for its "Festival of Trees" which will take place on Dec. 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Douglas County Board of Education.
