- A South Paulding High School football player was expected to announce his commitment to a college team yesterday afternoon. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine listed Kansas as a 98.9 percent match for three-star quarterback Kasen Weisman. As of Thursday evening, the player's official commitment announcement was not made public. (On3)
- Douglas County has joined the Georgia Purchasing Group for the distribution and publishing of bid opportunities in the county. The bidding system will connect the county with a large vendor pool to help streamline and manage the bid process. Interested vendors for Douglas County can sign up here. (Benzinga)
- Georgia's foreclosure rate ranks ninth highest in the nation. According to a land and property data curator, Attom, the foreclosure rate in the state is one in every 770 homes. In the first half of 2022, there were 5,731 foreclosures. (The Center Square)
