Tamiyah is a star student because she has grit that cannot be taught. She is in the International Baccalaureate Program at Douglas County High where she has maintained a 4.0. She has held a job at Yogli Mogli and played varsity soccer for three years. She understands the importance of mental health for herself with we packed schedule. She schedules in times on her alarm to remind her to rest and recharge. Tamiyah has been active in our community by volunteering at the The Pantry, collecting toiletries at for the Share House and for the men’s shelter here in Douglasville. She even has an after school art program for students at a local elementary school in Douglas County. Tamiyah is also active at her church, Chapel Hill Church. She is just a well rounded student and person. Tamiyah has been accepted at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
