• Man Fatally Shot Wife In Head In Front Of Daughter: Douglas Prosecutors (patch.com) — Douglasville residents are learning more about a deadly domestic violence case in which 51-year-old Volanta Walker admitted to fatally shooting his wife outside their Littlebrook Way home in front of her daughter. Douglas County prosecutors say Walker, a convicted felon, pleaded guilty to murder and related charges and received a sentence of life in prison plus 25 years, with no contact allowed with the victim’s family.
