- Police have identified the Georgia woman who was fatally shot in Saginaw on Oct. 19. LaDunna A. Griggs, a 22-year-old from Douglasville, was visiting a friend's family when she was shot. As of Oct. 24, no arrests have been made. (MLive.com)
- The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing teen, 17-year-old Lamahi Fitz, who left her residence in the area of Bedford Place, Douglasville on Oct. 22. - The national average price of gasoline has decreased for the second week in a row, according to a GasBuddy survey. Georgia has the cheapest gas in the country with a price of $3.15 a gallon. Experts say the falling rates can be partly attributed to seasonality. (K 2 Radio)

- The Douglas County Courthouse has two wonderful (and free!) Halloween events this weekend! This Friday, Oct. 28, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., courthouse employees will be handing out candy and treats for all ages. And on Saturday, Oct. 29, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and the Douglasville Police Department will be having a Trunk or Treat event from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the courthouse.
