Douglasville's Monarch Garden Gets Wings Polished

DOUGLASVILLE, GA –BioLife Plasma Services and Keep Douglasville Beautiful, or KDB, joined together Aug. 6 to rejuvenate the Mayor’s Monarch Pledge Butterfly Garden located at Worthan Park.

The group of about 25 volunteers put in several hours of hard work and determination, mixed with lots of laughs, to refresh the garden by replacing mulch, creating a rock walking path, installing landscape edging and weeding the area – creating a more attractive garden for butterflies.

BioLife Plasma Services, located on Chapel Hill Road, volunteered with KDB for the workday as part of their company’s annual day of service commitment. O'Charley's Restaurant in Douglasville provided bottled water for the volunteers.

The Butterfly Garden is located at the intersection of East Strickland Street and Highway 92 and offers a gazebo, picnic tables and a passive area for patrons to enjoy.
