'Excessive Black Mold' Found In Douglasville Eatery, 8 Others Inspected: Food Scores

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — From pizza to wings to deli sandwiches, take a look at the latest restaurant inspection scores for eateries inspected in Douglas County over the last two weeks.

A total of nine Douglasville and Douglas County restaurants and food-service operations were inspected since Feb. 17 — the last time Patch posted a restaurant score roundup for the area — with five receiving As, three receiving Bs and one getting a C: Wings and Seafood in Douglasville. None received a "U" for unacceptable.

Wings and Seafood got several violations on their inspection report, including finding excessive black mold in several soda nozzles, misrepresenting swai fish as catfish on the menu and storing food improperly in coolers. View the full inspection report here.

Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from the best possible score of 100. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points.
