- On Saturday, Dec. 3, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office will host The Festival of Trees. The event will feature thirty local craft vendors, as well as an assortment of Christmas trees. The festival will run from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. (Press Release Desk )
- Members of the Douglas County government will be talking with citizens about the future of the community. Coffee & Conversation is an opportunity for people to connect with officials and give their input on what's happening in their county. The event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Douglas County Courthouse in Citizens Hall. District 1 Commissioner Henry Mitchell III will be in attendance, as well as several other guest speakers. (Press Release Desk)

- The first annual Christmas with the Cops Festival will be hosted by the Douglasville Police Department. Over 80 vendors will be in attendance, selling local crafts, products, food, and much more. Santa will be in attendance as well. The event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the front lawn of the Douglasville Police Department. - The Douglasville Police Department held its first meeting for the Rising Men of Douglasville this week. The program will focus on community outreach and mentoring programs for children and young adults. Building positive relationships, conflict resolution, and unlocking potential will all be discussed.
