  1. Home Chef, an online and retail food solutions company, will be expanding into Douglasville and is looking for new employees. Its new production center will aim to increase efficiency and increase job availability in the area. There will be around 700 job opportunities that will come from this new development, so not only will this bring good food to the area, but it will also help stimulate the local economy.   2. District 3 Commissioner, Tarenia Carthan, is partnering with Douglas County Animal Services to host a pet vaccine clinic at the Douglasville First United Methodist Church. Prior registration is not required, and all pets that attend must be on a leash or in carriers. The rabies vaccine will cost $20, but other services, like microchips, will be free. The clinic will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Jul. 30, so make sure to mark your calendars and get your furry friends vaccinated!   3. The Douglas County School System's Back to School Kickoff will take place this Saturday, Jul. 23 at 10:00 a.m.!
