Here are the top five stories in Douglasville today:
- Douglasville anesthesiologist Louis Pinkney, who was filmed dancing during surgery, was cleared of malpractice charges yesterday. Pinkney was assisting cosmetic surgeon Windell Davis-Boutte, who is known as the "dancing doctor" for videos she posts on TikTok, with a liposuction procedure when Davis-Boutte recorded herself singing to the song "Cut It" by OT Genasis. After seeing the video, the patient filed two separate cases accusing both Pinkney and Davis-Boutte of medical malpractice over the alleged "botched" operation. Pinkney was cleared of charges, but Davis-Boutte had her medical license suspended. (MEAWW)
- Having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card! The Douglas County branches of the West Georgia Regional Library System have plenty of events for the whole family to enjoy. Head over to the nearby Lithia Springs branch for a "Secret Garden Club" event next week, plus recurring Elementary Homeschool Group crafting events at the Dog River branch, and much more.
