- The mother of a Douglas County woman who disappeared nearly two weeks ago says she believes her daughter was abducted in Atlanta. Allahnia Lenoir, 24, was last seen visiting friends at an apartment complex in Midtown Atlanta on Jul. 30. Anyone with information about her location is asked to call 911 or the APD homicide and missing person unit at (404) 546-4235. (WSB-TV 2 Atlanta)
- Tickets are on sale for the Gym Jam 2.0 Battle of the Bands event. On Thursday, Sep. 22, the Douglas County Incomparable Tiger Band will face off against the New Manchester Mighty Marching Jaguars in the Douglas County High School gymnasium. - The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville is hosting a Tiny Art Fundraiser featuring hundreds of unique canvases hand-painted by local artists. A purchase of a six-square-inch canvas is $20 and includes entry into a drawing for four exciting prizes. Raffle winners will be announced on Aug. 19. - Don't miss the Church Street Farmers Market today from 3:00-7:00 p.m. for a special National Potato Day giveaway.
