Man Charged With 14 Counts Of Entering Autos: Police
A man was charged with 14 counts of entering autos and is a suspect in a shoplifting case still under investigation, police said.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA -- A man has been arrested and charged with 14 counts of entering autos and is a suspect in a shoplifting case still under investigation, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
On May 8, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit was tasked with patrolling the Lee Rd area due to an increase of entering autos. During this assignment, deputies identified James Robert Thomason, who was actively wanted for an entering auto that had occurred in early January.
Deputies located Thomason at a home in Chestnut Log Subdivision where he was taken into custody on this outstanding warrant. Further investigation revealed that Thomason had property in his possession that was taken from current entering autos that had occurred in the Chestnut Log subdivision, police said.

He was also identified as a suspect from a shoplifting that had occurred at a local Dollar General Store. Thomason was turned over to the Douglas County Jail. The shoplifting case is still under investigation with charges pending.
