DOUGLASVILLE, GA β The GBI is investigating the Sunday-night shooting of a Dallas, Georgia, man by Douglasville police officers.
Police first encountered Markus Alan Taylor, 36, when they answered a domestic-disturbance call from a house on Clark Street in Douglasville. After addressing the complaint and leaving, the officers learned that Taylor had outstanding warrants for βprevious family violence charges,β according to a Douglasville Police Department Facebook post.
When officers returned to arrest Taylor, he βdid not comply with officersβ commands,β according to a GBI statement issued Monday. Thatβs when Taylor was shot in the arm. He was taken to a metro-area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
