Missing Teen Sought By Douglas County Sheriff's Office

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Authorities are seeking the public's help to locate a missing teenage boy, last seen at his Douglas County home on Friday.

Cavaris Cofield Jr., 14, is described as a Black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and possibly weighing 145 pounds, according to a social-media post from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. He was most recently seen wearing a red hat, a khaki-colored shirt and black pants.

Cofield is believed to have left of his own volition, the sheriff's office said, with investigators already having exhausted obvious leads with friends and family. Investigators' best guess is that he may be in the College Park area.
