New Douglasville City Council Seat Member Sworn In
Nycole N. Miller was sworn in by Mayor Rochelle Robinson at a special city council meeting June 18.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Nycole N. Miller was sworn in Thursday to fill the Ward 2 Post 1 City Council seat formerly held by her late husband, Michael J. Miller, the city of Douglasville said in a news release.
Miller was sworn in by Mayor Rochelle Robinson at a special city council meeting. She won the special election held on June 18 by earning 72.7 percent of her ward’s vote, the city added.
“I can’t thank you guys enough for your support, and your love, and your prayers,” Miller said Thursday. “I ask that you continue to support, love, and pray for me through this journey.”

A small reception was held at the Douglasville Conference Center, after which the newly sworn-in Miller went to work attending the 5 p.m. committees meeting and the subsequent 6 p.m. work session.
Regular city council meetings are held on the first and third Mondays with the legislative work sessions occurring on the Thursday preceding the regular meetings. Exact dates of each council meeting can be found on the city’s website: www.DouglasvilleGA.gov.
