  1. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is searching for missing 17-year-old Dymend Leach, who left her residence in the area of Eastbrook Road in Douglasville around 7:45 a.m. on Oct. 31. She was last seen wearing all black while waiting for the school bus in her neighborhood. Anyone with information regarding Leach's whereabouts is asked to contact Investigator Kurt Stauffer at 678-486-1247 or via email. (Douglas County Sheriff's Office)

  3. Downtown Douglasville will briefly transform into Hawkins, Indiana for the Stranger Things Block Party on Nov. 5. Portions of the hit Netflix show Stranger Things were filmed in Douglasville. The Palace Arcade will be in the very location used for shots in the show. There will also be pop-up arcades, skating rinks, and Stranger Things-themed restaurants.
