Teen COVID-19 Death In Gwinnett Is 10th So Far In Georgia
A 14-year-old Gwinnett girl with a pre-existing condition is the 10th Georgian 17 or younger to die from COVID-19, according to the state.
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A teenager from Gwinnett County is the 10th Georgian who is 17 or younger to die from COVID-19.
According to data posted Tuesday on the Georgia Department of Public Health’s website, the victim was a 14-year-old female with a pre-existing condition. No other information was available.
As of Tuesday, Gwinnett County has recorded 873 deaths from COVID-19, second in Georgia only to Fulton County. The teenager whose death was posted Tuesday is the second Gwinnett victim of COVID-19 who is 17 or younger, and only the ninth in Gwinnett younger than 30.

Georgia so far has posted 14,761 confirmed deaths and 2,166 probably deaths from COVID-19, with 75 of them reported on Tuesday alone.
