2011 Gwinnett County Tax Bills Mailed to Taxpayers

Payments due in single installment Nov. 15. Property owners have several ways to pay tax bills.

Gwinnett County 2011 property tax bills have been mailed to taxpayers, and there is a significant change to make note of this year, Tax Copmmissioner Richard Steele announced. All bills will have a single-installment due date of Nov. 15. Anyone who prefers the two installment system can opt to make an earlier partial payment, but the full amount is only due by Nov. 15.

There are several ways to remit property tax payments.

  • Pay online by credit card or e-check at www.GwinnettTaxCommissioner.com. (Convenience fees apply for credit card transactions; e-check payments are free.)
  • Mail payments to P.O. Box 372, Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
  • Pay by check using drop-off boxes 24 hours a day at all Tax Commissioner offices.
  • Pay in person during business hours at all Tax Commissioner offices.
  • Pay by e-check at 770-822-8800.

Officials said tax information will be provided to the mortgage company in the cases of property owners with escrow accounts, but caution that it is ultimately the responsibility of the property owner to ensure taxes are paid by the due date. If there are questions about who will pay taxes, especially if there have been any recent changes in mortgage company, homeowners are urged to contact their mortgage company directly.

Further information on property tax payments is available at Tax@gwinnettcounty.com or 770-822-8800.
