State Rep. Pedro Marin, D-Duluth, has been endorsed by the Georgia Association of Educators Fund for Public Education Committee (GAE-FPE) for re-election as Georgia House representative in District 96.
“The GAE-FPE endorsement of Representative Marin is based in part on his commitment to the 1.6 million Georgia children who will be depending on him to uphold their constitutional right of a ‘free and an adequate public education,’” said Calvin Rollins, president of GAE in his endorsement letter to Marin. “GAE looks forward to working with you in an effort to fully fund our public schools.”
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Georgia Association of Educators,” said Marin. “I look forward to working alongside GAE to oppose HR 1162. This proposed amendment would result in the loss of local control over our public schools and make public schools compete for funding with charter schools.”
