City of Duluth offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 2, for the New Year's holiday. All city offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Gwinnett County government offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 2, in observance of the holiday. County offices will resume regular operating hours on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Trash and recycling pickup will not be affected. All branches of the Gwinnett County Public Library including the Duluth Branch will be closed on New Year's Day, Sunday, Jan. 1. Also, all library branches will close at 5 p.m. on New Year's Eve, Saturday, Dec. 31.
