Watch for First Meteor Shower of 2012
Meteors may be visible in Duluth sky. Face north-northeast between 2 a.m. and dawn to see spectacular Quadrantids display.

Look skyward in the wee hours before dawn Jan. 4 to see the first meteor display of 2012. The Quadrantids can produce more than 100 meteors an hour, but the peak only lasts a few hours, according to EarthSky.org.
And you have to be in the right spot for the best view of the January meteor shower. This year, the eastern United States is forecast among the prime viewing sites. So the meteor display might be visible in the Duluth sky.
