Duluth's Main Street to Close for Fall Festival
Main Street to be closed to all traffic at 11 a.m. Friday. West Lawrenceville St. to be closed to thru traffic between Hill Street and Main Street at 5:30 p.m. Friday. Shuttle service runs Saturday and Sunday during festival.

Duluth visitors, commuters, shoppers and festival-goers need to know that Main Street will be closed to all traffic at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, through about 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, to accommodate the Duluth Fall Festival. West Lawrenceville Street will be closed to thru traffic between Hill Street and Main Street at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23.
“Please do not park on Main Street on Friday the 23rd,” advised Duluth Economic Development Manager Chris McGahee. “Cars will be towed if necessary.” Golf carts will be available on that Friday to transport handicapped customers to and from downtown shops.
During the festival Saturday and Sunday, a shuttle service will operate from parking lots at the Glancy Outpatient Building, 3855 Pleasant Hill Road; Chattahoochee Elementary School, 2930 Albion Farm Road; Gwinnett Community Bank, 2775 Buford Hwy.; and Mason Elementary School, 3030 Bunten Road. Shuttle hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday with the exception of 9:45 a.m. to noon during the festival parade. Shuttles do not run during the parade. Also, Ga. Hwy. 120 will be closed for the parade. Shuttles will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Hill Street and West Lawrenceville Street will be closed for the 5K Road Race that starts at 8 a.m. Sunday.
