We have a big weekend on the horizon. Make sure you check our list before heading out.
- Songs from the 80's and 90s are featured in this wildly successful musical focusing on a group of five girlfriends reminiscing about the past, taking stock of the present, and preparing for a wild karaoke night out. Shows are all weekend long at Gwinnett Center in Duluth.
- This weekend only, Monique Shaw's play "Will a Real Man Please Stand!" focuses on a successful woman's relationship with God and her search for a "real man.' The show will play at Lionheart Theater in Norcross.
- The classic tale of the trapped, long-haired beauty will be ending this weekend at New Dawn Theater in Duluth. Ideal for families with younger children, the shows are all at 11 a.m. and will included audience participation. For more information call 678-887-5015 or visit the website here.
- This Sunday the Duluth Historical Society presents the third annual Chattapoochie Pet Fest. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. pet adoptions, crafts, food, pet costume parade and more will draw animal lovers from around Gwinnett to the Duluth Town Green. For more info, visit this website.
- The great thing about golf is that it fills need of all types. Cigars and drinks with the boys? Check. Raise money to benefit community youth and teens? Also, check. The latter is happening this weekend with the YMCA of Atlanta 2-Day Golf Event. To help raise money for the Fowler YMCA in Peachtree Corners, register here and get in a round at Hamilton Mill Golf Club.

- This Saturday and Sunday the Norcross Arts Festival will take over the historic downtown neighborhood. More than 180 talented artists will be showing and selling their wares along the streets and in the parks. A Kidz Zone will also be available for the younger set.
- This weekend's 14th annual Petit Le Mans will take place in Braselton and will feature the largest field ever for this prestigious race. The main event will go down Saturday, Oct. 1, but there will be a number of other events featuring different criterion throughout the week leading up to the big 1000 mile race.
