Gladiators Practicing at Ice Forum in Duluth

The Gwinnett Gladiators are training and practicing for the 2011-12 season at the Ice Forum in Duluth. Training camp will run through Oct. 13 in preparation for the season opener in Florida against the Everblades at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Germain Arena.

All practices are free and open to the public. Remaining times include:

Oct. 2: 10 a.m.-noon
Oct. 3: 10 a.m.-noon
Oct. 4: 10 a.m.-noon
Oct. 5: 10 a.m.- noon
Oct. 6: 9 a.m.-11 a.m. & 3:50 p.m.-5 p.m.
Oct. 7: 10 a.m.-noon & 5:20 p.m.- 6 p.m.
Oct. 8: 10:45 a.m.-noon
Oct. 9: Day Off
Oct. 10: 10:30-11:30 a.m. & 7- 8 p.m.
Oct. 11: 10:30 a.m.-noon
Oct. 12: 10:30 a.m.- noon

The Gladiators will host a public scrimmage on Monday, Oct. 10, as part of the Gladiators "Fan Fest" from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Ice Forum.

The training roster includes Brad Miller from Alpharetta.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres and the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League. The team is a member of the ECHL, the Premier “AA” Hockey League, and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at , located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.

The first home game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, against Greenville.
