Halloween Fun Abounds Around Duluth Town Green

Traditional Halloween on the Green, Haunted Theatre Tour and Cat Cruise In Car Show providing Halloween activities for children and their families Saturday, Oct. 29.

The will be filled with costumed children and their families celebrating Halloween Saturday, Oct. 29. Halloween on the Green, an annual event sponsored by the City of Duluth, starts at 2 p.m. and continues until 8 p.m.

Festivities include a costume contest, fun family activities, a haunted hay ride, pony rides, trick-or-treat, and a spooky music concert by the Duluth High School Orchestra. Admission is free with a donation of two canned goods for the local food bank. There will be nominal charges for some activities. The concert is scheduled for 6 p.m. followed by the costume contest on the Duluth Festival Center stage at 6:30 p.m.

The will be operating from 7 to 11:30 p.m. on Main Street across from the Town Green. Admission is $12 or $10 with a donation of two canned goods.

The Duluth Tip Off Club will present a Cat Cruise In Car Show and Trunk or Treat from 2 to 5 p.m. in front of Chocolate Perks on Main Street, also across from the Town Green. The entry fee of $20 a car will benefit the Lady Wildcats basketball program at Duluth High School. Prizes will be awarded for cars in several categories. WNBA Atlanta Dream Team member Lindsey Harding will put in an appearance from 4 to 5 p.m. and give away an autographed basketball.

The paver parking lot will be closed for the Car Show/Halloween on the Green and Main Street in front of the Mathias/StreetSmarts building to Hardy Industrial will be closed from 1 to 5 p.m.
