Living Honorarium Awaits Unveiling
Monument to living heroes and sheroes shrouded on Duluth Town Green until unveiling Sunday afternoon.

Workmen completed installing a Living Honorarium honoring active military, living veterans, police, firefighters, and emergency service providers on Duluth's Town Green late Saturday. Designed by Atlanta sculptor Martin Dawe of CherryLion Studios, the monument will be dedicated at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. The monument's design is a secret, and workmen covered it in a shroud. The monument was envisioned by Gwinnett County Commissioner Shirley Lasseter when she was mayor of Duluth and later commissioned by the city following a design competition.
