Long-time Duluth Veterinarian Honored at Party

Duluth veterinarian Dr. Bob Dickinson was honored with a party recognizing his “32 years of excellent veterinary care in the community” at the Duluth Festival Center Sunday (Oct. 23). Clients, staff, friends, and family enjoyed barbecue from Jim ‘N Nick’s along with homemade sides and desserts. The party was hosted by Dr. Mike Miller, who is taking over Dr. Dickinson’s practice at Duluth Animal Hospital. Dr. Dickinson will continue to have a presence at the animal hospital and perform surgeries and other procedures. "Dr. Bob" attributed the success of his practice to his clients “who entrusted the care of their animals to me,” his dedicated staff, and his wife Kay, who assisted with the hospital and “paid the bills.”  Sharon Miller, l-r, Dr. Mike Miller, Dr. Bob Dickinson (wearing a retirement survival hat), and Kay Dickinson display the special cake decorated with pet motifs served at the party.
