New Principals to Welcome Students at Some Schools
Eight new principals appointed over summer; Eleven to begin their first full year.

Students returning to school this year will be welcomed by new principals at several Gwinnett County Public Schools.
Eight Gwinnett principals were appointed over the summer to lead other schools. In addition, 11 other leaders will begin their first full year at their current schools.
New principals for 2013-14:
- Valerie Robinett—Camp Creek Elementary
- Carrie Yougel—Duncan Creek Elementary
- Tamara Candis—Hopkins ElementaryDaniel Skelton—Level Creek Elementary
- Dr. Allan Gee—Mountain Park Elementary
- Penny Clavijo—Rock Springs Elementary
- Dr. Rukina Walker—Trip Elementary
- Marci Sledge—Pinckeneyville Middle
The following principals began their duties mid-year last year, this will be their first full year as principal of the school:
- Dr. Brenda Johnson—Centerville Elementary
- David Jones—Mason Elementary
- Ruth Westbrooks—Puckett’s Mill Elementary
- Clifton Alexander—Simonton Elementary
- Dr. Michele Smith—Suwanee Elementary
- Dr. Stacey Schepens—Crews Middle
- Dr. Yvette Arthur—Lilburn Middle
- Katise Menchan—Snellville Middle
- Anthony Smith—Duluth High
- Jason Lane—Mill Creek High
