New Principals to Welcome Students at Some Schools

Eight new principals appointed over summer; Eleven to begin their first full year.

Students returning to school this year will be welcomed by new principals at several Gwinnett County Public Schools.
Eight Gwinnett principals were appointed over the summer to lead other schools. In addition, 11 other leaders will begin their first full year at their current schools.

New principals for 2013-14:

  • Valerie Robinett—Camp Creek Elementary
  • Carrie Yougel—Duncan Creek Elementary
  • Tamara Candis—Hopkins ElementaryDaniel Skelton—Level Creek Elementary
  • Dr. Allan Gee—Mountain Park Elementary
  • Penny Clavijo—Rock Springs Elementary
  • Dr. Rukina Walker—Trip Elementary
  • Marci Sledge—Pinckeneyville Middle
Principals hired mid-year last year:

The following principals began their duties mid-year last year, this will be their first full year as principal of the school:
