Work began this week and was completed on installing a new roof on the Red Clay Theatre located on Main Street in Historic Downtown Duluth. The Duluth City Council awarded the contract to replace the roof to Ideal Building Solutions at its March 12 meeting. Ideal submitted a bid of $23,920. The council authorized the expenditure of up to $30,000 in case problems were encountered. Funds for the RTC roof project are coming from $30,233.88 the city received from a 2009 insurance claim paid by GEMA and FEMA for storm damage to the roof.
