Dunwoody Crash Kills Woman, Injures 2 At I-285 W
Two vehicles were attempting to enter Interstate 285 west when they collided and caused two people to be trapped inside of the cars.
DUNWOODY, GA — A 33-year-old woman died in a weekend crash that injured two others, Dunwoody Police said.
The fatal crash happened around 3:45 a.m. Sunday at Interstate 285 west near Ashford Dunwoody Road, police said.
As a white Scion heading west on I-285 was changing lanes, police said a red F-250 was simultaneously entering I-285 from Ashford Dunwoody.

The two vehicles crashed at the bottom of the entrance ramp, trapping the driver and passenger of the Scion, police said.
DeKalb County fire personnel extricated them; however, the female passenger of the Scion died at the scene, police said. The woman's body was transported by the DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office.

The driver of the Scion was taken to North Fulton Hospital in stable condition, police said. The driver of the F-250 suffered injuries that were not life threatening and was not taken to the hospital, police said.
Police said the identity of the woman who died is not being released, pending next-of-kin notification.
