Dunwoody Krogers Particpate in Shamrocks Against Dystrophy Program

Dunwoody Kroger stores are participating in the MDA Shamrocks Against Dystrophy Program through March 30. 

Purchases of a shamrock shaped pin-up for a donation of $1 or $5 benefit the charity.

It’s the 13th consecutive year Kroger-Atlanta Division has supported MDA in the Shamrocks Against Dystrophy Program. The funds raised through the annual campaign go towards research and local support programs including summer camp for kids with Muscular Dystrophy.  

“Each year, the Muscular Dystrophy Association helps thousands of Americans receive treatment for this physically, emotionally and financially debilitating disease,” says Glynn Jenkins director of communications for Kroger’s Atlanta Division, in a statement. “Kroger is fortunate to be a part of the Shamrock fundraiser and the various services it provides for those with muscular dystrophy.”

Kroger was recognized by Forbes as the most generous company in the United States during 2010. The Company focuses its charitable efforts on hunger relief, K-12 education, women’s health initiatives and local organizations in the communities it serves.
