"Our deepest sympathies remain with the student's loved ones during this challenging period," Dunwoody High Principal Tom Bass said.

The medical emergency happened at the time students were testing. A lockdown was then put in place to limit movement in the school, Bass said.
Students and staff were notified of the student's death, and resources and personnel are assisting with grief counseling, Bass said.
"Everyone reacts to death differently," Bass said. "Our priority is respecting each other's feelings and emotions. As a family, we encourage you to talk with your child about this incident to help them share their thoughts and reactions. The Dunwoody High School community is here to support and uplift in any way we can."
Students can meet with members of the school's District Crisis Team starting Tuesday, and the team will remain available as long as support is needed, Bass said.
"Our deepest sympathies remain with the student’s loved ones during this challenging period," Bass said.
