Person Dies After Being Trapped Under Dunwoody MARTA Train: Reports
MARTA service was disrupted Thursday at the North Springs, Sandy Springs and Medical Center stations.
DUNWOODY, GA — A person died after being trapped under a MARTA train Thursday morning, disrupting service at three stations, according to MARTA and media reports.
Police told Atlanta News First a person jumped in front of a moving train around 7:10 a.m. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the person died.
MARTA reported an emergency at the Dunwoody station but did not detail the emergency. Customers were being shuttled between the North Springs, Sandy Springs and Medical Center stations.
